At Hatfeild we set homework on a weekly basis, this is tailored to what your child has been learning in the classroom. We believe that home learning is an important way to prepare children for new learning and apply key skills that have been learnt in school.  

Directed homework is set on Google Classroom on a Friday and handed back in the following Wednesday. We expect parents to ensure that homework is handed in on time and that it represents a child's best efforts. 

Supporting your child with their home learning can really help improve their progress and achievement. We ask that parents and carers try to make homework part of the family routine and create a distraction free space for the children to complete their tasks.  We expect that all children are reading aloud to an adult everyday. 

Our dedicated teachers run a homework club to ensure that all children feel able to complete their homework to a high standard.
